A Tenuous Betrothal by Jen Geigle Johnson
(Clean Romance)
Rhianna is thrown out by her Uncle after her father’s death. But before she leaves her uncle informs her that her father and the King of Oldenburg have arranged marriage to the Prince of Oldenburg. Prince Marc and Rhianna agree that they want the right to choose their spouse. They decide to go to London to be part of the season. Marc tells her to search for a husband. He believes if she chooses someone to marry before they get back to his father that his father will be okay with that and they won’t have to marry each other. Marc “helps” her find a suitor but he doesn’t like it. It gets even more interesting when Marc’s brothers become suitors.
I enjoyed reading this book. I loved how every character was honest with everyone. A lot of times a character will not say how they feel but not so with these characters. I loved Rhianna’s character, she is so caring about people. I also like how she can joke around with the brothers and Marc. Marc was good too but I didn’t like some of the way he treated Rhianna, he was an idiot at times but that was the author’s intent, and you just want to smack him. 😊Overall good story. Clean read. Definitely recommend
