The Debutante's Second Chance by Lisa M. Prysock
My Review
This is the third book in the series and definitely works as a standalone. As the title suggests, this is a second chance romance. Clay left Gladdie to marry Alice, and Gladdie never knew why. Now years later, Clay has returned a widower with 2 children and wants Gladdie back. Gladdie still loves him but can she trust him? Maybe after she learns what happened.
This was a great story! I really liked the setting and that it had horse racing included. Gladdie is wonderful. I loved how she was with the children. And how she was willing to hear Clay out but was still cautious at the same time. Her “Aunt Bertha” moment was hilarious and my favorite part of the book. I also liked Clay and how he took care of his family and was a man who knew what he wanted. I do wish there would have been a tiny bit more with the kids. Overall though a great story with great Christian content and romance. I definitely recommend!
