An Uncommon Courtship Review

An Uncommon Courtship by Kristi Ann Hunter

Trent Hawthorne’s story! This is the 3rd book in the series and the last one for me to read.(I’ve read all of them now 😊) I was initially not going to read this one due to some reviews I was seeing about some of the content in this book. However, I’m so glad I gave it a chance! I loved it! Once again I love Kristi Ann Hunter’s writing and her humor! Trent is kind of an idiot about some things but that’s okay it makes for great reading. And you get to yell at him for being an idiot while reading which I always find fun. I also like the genuineness of Trent’s character, the innocence, caring, and of course joking traits are all wonderful!

Trent is forced into a marriage due to spending a night with Adelaide trapped in ruins together. Hence ruining her reputation so he proposes and they marry. They don’t know each other and must learn together how to make their marriage work.

I also love Adelaide’s character. She is so sweet, kind, loving and a bit clumsy. I love her character development!

Also I want to note, this is an Adult book so there are adult issues. If you are not an adult I don’t recommend this book to you. I also recommend you be a married adult. Or engaged. 😊 Some of the marital content was a little more detailed than I’d prefer but that’s my personal preference.

Now I’m going to go into some SPOILERS so if you don’t want to know what happens STOP reading after the rating

Rating: 4.5 stars!

The reason I didn’t read this book for so long is because of some reviews I read concerning marital relations. These reviews made the book sound way worse than it actually is. Yes there is definitely marital relations. They are married after all. The details are a little more than I would prefer(Such as referring to undressing each other) but are still done in a clean way. The intercourse is not described but we find out it doesn’t go as planned and there is some description about what happened (this is done in a clean way) This is why I recommend being an Adult and married or engaged. But definitely an adult. I think some of the bad reviews are from single people that don’t know about these matters and it shocked them. Overall great read!
