A Pursuit of Home by Kristi Ann Hunter
It is with this book that I have now finished all of Kristi’s books! I can’t wait for more! 😊
My Review
This story is about Jess. You may remember her from A Noble Masquerade and also the first two books in the Haven Manor series. In this book we get her back story, and how she came to be where she is now. With the help of Derek Thornbury, she translates her old family diary. It’s up to her to find a bowl that will help establish her brother as the rightful King of Verbone. Derek and Jess go on this treasure hunt full of danger, and study the artwork that holds the clues. I really enjoyed this book. Jess has always been a great character and I’m glad I got to see more of her in this book. I also enjoyed Derek’s character. He is uncomfortable with all the espionage but goes along with it to help Jess. They are a cute couple. We get reappearances from The Duke of Marshington, and Miranda from A Noble Masquerade as well as Kit, Daphne and their husbands so that is fun as well. Overall a great read and I definitely recommend!
